Concert with the Carrollton Wind Symphony

We do not need to bring our music stands. We will use the stands at the facility. We will not need to bring the big percussion equipment and I will coordinate with Jaclyn on this.

Last rehearsal there were numerous people offering rides for those who needed one, and we will coordinate this during our next rehearsal.

I received word last night from Robert Cooper, Chair of the Christ Church Board of Trustees. These two excerpts will clearly communicate an unexpected change:
|
"Although the concert band has used the church facility at no cost in the past, it is unlikely this arrangement will continue going forward. Based on the amount of time and space you are requesting and a preliminary price schedule, the cost to the concert band would be significant. Although you have requested to schedule space at Christ Church Methodist to rehearse and perform for the upcoming year, it may behoove you to look for other space. "

"The band currently uses space around the CCM campus to store equipment. The leadership board has determined that it can no longer provide storage space to outside parties when the space is needed for ministries of the church. Accordingly, the Band must remove all of their property stored on the CCM campus by June 30, 2024."

I am throwing this out to the membership. It is obvious that change is coming. Does anyone have or know someone who has a facility that we can contact where we can practice and perform starting in the Fall?
